Falsehoods

this series of images speaks to the power that AI has to change our perception of what is real and what is not.

its unique ability to alter perceived happenings in the past and the present is somewhat fantastical, but can easily become sinister when mobilised by the wicked.

Where’s Wally, my first project, is a false reality. there are 10 humans (including this one), 9 of which have been generated by AI. can you find Wally, the actual human?

the second and third images in this series are memories, but modified. can you spot how?

how do we navigate a world where AI can fabricate memories, stories, and people with terrifying accuracy?

can we trust what we see, hear, or even feel when reality becomes a construct?

how do we teach future generations to distinguish between what’s real and what’s artificial? what does it mean for identity when AI can replicate or fabricate our likeness? will the proliferation of AI-generated content make the truth irrelevant?
